Heh, it seems every actor nowadays is rumored to be in the new Star Wars.i heard Gary Busey gonna be the new Emperor. hope its true dats gonna be crazy.Lupita Nyong'o is in talks with JJ Abrams for possible casting, as we move closer to the start of Star Wars: Episode VII production.
Alright, so we are short of confirmation that the recent Oscar winner is officially signed on for a role and we hear that Lupita's team said they aren't allowed to talk about her potential addition to the film... The veil of secrecy surrounding all things Episode VII can be expected on any JJ Abrams project, but that just means more guesses regarding who Lupita will be taking on as a female lead.
Reports have named that perhaps she will be a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi or a Sith... but again, no confirmations for her character or involvement, and really not set-in-stone revelations regarding the upcoming Star Wars flick.
It's funny; every time an African American actor is cast in something, it's so obvious to me that it's merely an attempt to "diversify the race" of the cast. Add some color. Especially when you consider that the only black actor in the original Star Wars film was Lando Calrissian and Mace Windu in the prequels. Or (recently) Falcon in Captain America. Or Sue and Johnny Storm in Fantastic 4.
